Happy Halloween 2011

Well, another Halloween has come and gone.  We had a blasted.  Tyler went to a friends house and Taytum walked with a group of girls.  I walked with Tanner and few other parents. The kids got lots of candy.  Brad had to work.  Sure wish we could see him more often and he would not have to miss these special times.  But someones gotta pay the bills.  Anyhow, here are some pictures of my little trick or treaters.

So much to say...where do I begin...

Well, lets see.

Big news:  I am expecting.  Super excited.  Really has been a nerve-racking experience.  I have been very quiet about it, till I knew that things were going to be okay.  After last years loss, I figured, we would tell everyone after the first trimester.  Nothing is harder than un-telling people that you are pregnant.  So, sorry if it seems like I waited a long time to spill the beans.  The baby is due in April.  Another, April baby.  I hope this means its a girl like Taytum.  I spent the first 3 months sick.  Just like when I was pregnant with Taytum. My boys never really gave me trouble with morning sickness.
What else is new.  We went to Port Aransas at the end of Sept.  The kids got out of school a few days to enjoy some vacation and see the family.  We never get to see everybody all together.  Tyler is always gone to his dads, when school is out.  So, we had to make a visit happen.  The kids, Brad, and I had a blast, despite all efforts from outside sources.
Kindergarten has been good for Tanner.  Started out a little off but we are finally getting there.  He would come home from school and have meltdowns.  He also, would completely shut down at school for the teacher and not want to listen or work.  BUt we are over that and moving forward.  He is so eager to learn.  Always wanting to name things that rhyme or opposites.  And he handwriting has come a long way.  I can actually read it.
Tyler is doing good.  He like his class and his teacher.  She is nice.  He is showing a real effort this year to keep his grades up.  He has join the orchestra.  He plays the violin or as my family calls it "the fiddle".  He also, is in the antibully club.  Playing both soccer and football.  Which is just about over, but of course he did great in both. Basketball season is right around the corner, so we are getting ready for that.  Gonna have to stop throwing pass and start dribbling.
Taytum started 6th grade this year.  I think she is struggling a bit.  She will not talk about it but I think some of the girls are being mean to her.  I just wish she would understand that she is beautiful just how she is.  She does not have to be like them.  Her grades are good.  She score really high on math test last year and above average on reading.  She is a smart girl.  She got put on a new volleyball team this year.  It was a challenge, for her, since she is so much more advance than these girls were.  But she stuck with it.  So I am proud of her.  She did play soccer. AGAIN!!  She just will not give it up.  She is not bad, but I think she plays to be with some of her friends.
I have been busy with photos. I guess that is a good thing right.  I had to do 5 soccer teams and 1 cheerleading squad.  I sure hope this means that I will get more work in the future.  I don't know what is harder.  5th grade girls or kindergarten boys.  No one will smile for you.  All seem so scared.  Maybe its me.  I must scare them.  Gotta take my kids out soon before it gets cold and do their christmas pictures.  I always get the holiday cards out quickly.
Brad has been working a lot. I mean a lot.  He did get to come in and stay a weekend at the coast with us, but had to fly back.  Left me to drive 17 hours in the car with the kids.  Yikes!!!!
Last weekend had to take him to the ER.  He was having pains like his gall badder was acting up.  Turn out you can still have a stone even without a gall badder.  After a night in the hospital and some expensive test, they told him he must of passed it. Oh well, I am glad he is okay. But not looking forward to that bill.
We have officially moved in to our town home.  Only to find out our neighbors are real jerks.  Complains about everything.  THe littlest noise, the dog, the kids, my voice, everything.  They went and told the people in the neighborhood that our children were bad and not to allow there kids to play with ours. Now, it work on two children but overall, most of the kids still play with ours.  He did not take in to consideration that we lived just up the street for many years.  Whenever their kids are outside and mine our.  There is trouble.  I just go about my life and not concern myself with them.  They want to be petty, then let them.  I don't really care.

Well, I don't know what else to report.  Got to go pick up Taytum from school soon.  Till next time.

Where do I begin...

Well, time has sure flown by fast.  I have been so slow at keeping up with the blog.  My humble apologies.  I seriously doubt there is anyone out there who is sitting on the edge of the seat waiting for my to post.  But it is fun to believe someone out there takes an interest in my boring life.

So here is a little rundown of the happening in our little world.

We finished up soccer season for all three kiddos.  Taytum played a great spring volleyball season. We headed directly into baseball and softball season.  School came to a closure and Tyler had to attend summer school.  Summer kicked off in full force. HOT!!!
Tyler got to be pitcher in his baseball games a few time.  Did really well.  Tim got to see him play a game and pitch.  Tyler was a very happy boy.  He only wants to please his father.  Taytum was the starting pitcher at all her games.  Do not really know where they got the skills but I am proud of them both.  Pitching is a hard thing to do, lots of pressure.
Tanner start kindergarten in a couple of weeks.  I swear he has grown so much in the last month.  He has been driving me insane.  Tyler is in Texas at his fathers and Taytum has been at constant sleepovers all summer.  Comes home every couple of days.  So Tanner has had nobody to play with.  When Taytum is home she just taunts him and makes him cry.  SISTERS!!!
I finally can say I am a professional photography.  Finally got paid for some work.  Now I have been busy trying to find out way to get more business.  I have been giving these people picture for free for so long.  They don't want to actually have to pay for it.  I guess that is my fault.  Should have been greedy for the beginning.  Its hard starting a business.  I don't have a website and not a whole lot of experience with other people beside my children.  So I am working on that as well.  I have a few people who are asking for my services.  And soon I hope to have a website set up.  Did name my photography studio.  In a "Snap" Photography.  Catchy?  I hope so.  I am making flyer's to try and do some sports team photos and such.
Brad and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary.   Every year we like to give a shot out to the doubters, who thought we would have failed by now.  We have been through some tough stuff, but we are stronger for it.  This last year has been hard.  We are slowly getting back on our feet and the future is looking bright.  We moved into a little town home back by the kids school.  Which is good because the drive was crazy.
With Taytum starting middle school this year, I have to take her to school a 7:40am.  Then the boys at 8:30am.  Pick up Tanner at noon, then Tay at 2:50 followed by Tyler at 3:30 pm.  Talk about always at the school.  Plus I am in charge of the picture board at the elementary school.  So I have to be up there for the events and such.
Soccer starts next month.  All three are playing again.  Could not convince Taytum to give it up just yet.  Tyler is playing flag football.  Just not ready for him in tackle.  A lot of kids have come back to flag because they did not like tackle.  Taytum will do volleyball again. Of course!!  She is good at it.  I think in the end her sports of choice will be Volleyball and Softball.  Tyler will do anything and everything.  Tanner just wants to dance as he told me last night.  What a crazy kid.
I am missing Tyler a lot these days.  He is my little sidekick.  He is never to old to give me a hug.  Tanner and Tay are.  Makes me sad.  I am not ready for my children to not need me anymore.  Tanner is 5 and so independent.  Only time he needs me is to wipe his butt.  Sure wish he would learn that one. I will most likely cry when my baby goes into the school doors for kindergarten this year.  I might cry when Taytum goes to middle school.  I hope that it is a smooth transition for her.  She said she is not nervous but I know its a big deal to her.  It middle school.  I remember how weird and awkward it was. People starting to change while other were falling behind.  Starting to like boys.  Gym and showers.  Bad Memories!!!!
Anyhow, I pick up Tyler on Sunday.  Then the adventure starts.  My calendar is already full and there is still so much to go.
Till next time......

SPRING TIME...

The days are finally getting warmer.  Soccer season has officially started. Baseball and softball practice are in full swing.  Flowers are starting to bloom and storms are starting to form.  We have already hit 90 degrees twice this month.  We have had one really big hail storm. The hail was about the size of a golf ball.  Very scary moment in our house.  It was really loud and my poor car took a pretty good beating. It has been in the shop for a couple of weeks now.

Meanwhile, we as a family are constantly moving.  Brad is putting in a lot of hours at work. I am so happy he is working but I miss him when he is not home.  The kids and I are running around.  We go to school, practice, ballgames, school performances and etc.  Tyler soccer is going well,  Played his first game in the snow.  Crazy right!! He has played 3 games and made 4 goals this season.  Tanner love playing soccer.  He tries really hard but just keeps missing. Taytum is playing both soccer and volleyball.  Now she would prefer to play only volleyball but I like her running around and staying very active.  She is really awesome at volleyball though.  Get most of the game winning plays.  Overall, the sports season is going great.  Kids have so much talent. I am very blessed. Next week baseball and softball season will be started.  I can not wait.

This March we went to Texas for spring break.  Tyler went down to this fathers house for the week.  Me, Tanner and Tay stayed in Dallas with Pops,  We went to the St Patty's Day Parade.  That was a good time.  I honestly did not think it would be.  I really hate crowds and drunk people.  But the kids got lots of beads so we had a good time.  We also went to the wax museum.  Which, Tanner hated.  He was so scared of the figures.  I don't blame him they are kind of creepy.

Tyler had his birthday party.  We did not do anything big for him. We had a little get together and he got a few presents. He is growing so fast.  Turning into such a little man.
Taytum is growing way to fast.  The bigger she get the more of an attitude she has.  I know she is just deep down upset about things that she can not control.  Hard to believe that someone would completely write her off.  Not once but TWICE.  Takes a completely mean person to do that.  She did nothing and its not her fault.  So explain to me why you choose not to love her.  Better thing to do I guess.  Taytum is one of the lucky ones.  She has Brad. and I know that she does not see it like that right now.  She will.  He loves her so much.  Been a father to her most of her life.  Right now I know she is just hurt and most likely blames herself.  I wish she would talk to me about it.  At least she talks to her best friend about it.  That makes me feel better.
Not much else to report.  Everyone is healthy.  I will be posting some pictures of the last couple of months.  I will try not to be so long on my next blog.

A quick catch up on the everydays...

Well where do I start?  Brad got a job.  I am super excited for him.  He is going to be the Store Manager of a Family Dollar.  That is a step up from what he was at Walmart.  I believe all kinds of possibility can come out of this.
Tanner turned 5 on the 6th of Feb.  Wow, my baby is all grown up.  I went a registered him for Kindergarten last week.  Came home and told him about it and he did a fist pump.  How cute.
Tyler is not doing so well in school.  He has to attend summer school this summer.  I feel like I failed him as a mom.  I should have seen the signs or something.  Taytum was the same way in 3rd grade and now she is a straight A student.  It will be an adjustment for his summer visitation, but I think it will work out just fine.
Basketball season is wrapping up. I am highly disappointed in Tay's coach and the season all together.  Tyler is having fun but this is the first year for positions, so he rarely get the ball unless he steals it.  He is still so little that a lot of these boys just school him.  He is trying really hard to grow.  Eating lots of food, and wanting to work out and get stronger.  Most of his friends in school have hit a growth spurt.  He is still waiting.  Soccer season is just around the corner.  I love soccer.  It means being outside and warm weather.  I can't wait.  Tyler, Taytum and Tanner are playing this spring. Taytum is also playing spring Volleyball.  She is excited for that.
Not a whole lot else going on.  The weather is wonderful today.  Its in the 70's.  Wish it would stay this way but we are not over with winter just yet. I have a lot of basketball picture to edit so I got to sign off.   I will catch back up with you when something exciting happens.

Snow day............Again

Well here it is day 3 of the snow days this week.  The children have been out of school more since the first of the year.  Snow days are meant to be fun. Right?  Not in this house.  It is constant fight over the TV, Wii, Xbox and computer.  Or listening to "mom I am bored and his not sharing".  We are all experiencing Cabin Fever like crazy.  Brad has been constantly distracted these days.  Can not wait for him to finally get back to being himself again.  I just afraid that it will never happen.  He needs a job.  He needs separation from me and the kids.  We all need some space from each other or we are going to scream.  He keeps dropping hints for me to get a job.  That's fine but who is going to tend to the children.  Take them to school and practice.  Feed them and go to their games, help with homework, and  etc.  My job is not sitting around and doing nothing. Tanner alone keeps me busy. Plus he is not in school yet.  Speaking of school for Tanner, I just started filling out his registration for Kindergarten.   Can you believe my little baby is going to in school next year.  Taytum will be moving to the Middle School.  I am not liking this at all.  Tanner is super excited about starting school, I hope that is still the case when the first day rolls around.
Lets see what else to report.  Basketball season is in full swing.  The season is almost over.  Kids played really hard.  This year is Taytum's last season for basketball.  She just does not have the competitive drive one needs at this age.  Tyler has it, he puts all of it on the court when he plays.  Usually breaks down in the car afterwards, but he loves his sports.  Next up for spring is Taytum will play volleyball, soccer and start softball.  Tyler has soccer and baseball and little Tanner will be playing soccer again.  I have a busy spring coming up, but I love it.  I look forward to the weekends when I get to watch ballgames.  It is the highlight of my week.  I am blessed to have such wonderful talented children.
It is so cold, and there is about 14 inch of snow outside.  I want to go shopping for my little mans birthday this weekend but my car is kind of stuck in snow.  We are not doing a whole lot for Tanner.  Just cake and one gift he really wants.  Guess what it a Mario Wii Game.  Speaking of Wii.  Tanner has created an entire new family of Miis.  He calls them his other Mommy and Daddy.  I wonder if I should be concern about this.  I am sure he is just being silly.  He like to say " I don't want you to play with me daddy, I have my other daddy".  Silly boy.
Well I better go.  Brad is off with Taytum getting stuff ready for a science project she has due tomorrow.  (if there is school)  She also, was put into the Advance Reading Class.  She has some big presentation tomorrow on that at the school.  She got Honor Roll last semester.  So proud.

Here are some pics of the snow storm...

Tanner Played Soccer for the First Time this Fall

My youngest, Tanner, is finally old enough for organized sports. So last fall we signed him up for soccer. Seeing that he has watch his brother and sister play for 4 years, I thought he would take to it just fine. Boy was I wrong. From the fights that broke out to him dancing all over the field . Which he did more than the fighting. Thankfully. He barely showed interest in the ballgame. Just took it upon himself to do rolls and high kicks. Needless to say we just giggled, which only made him do that much more. He did go out on the field and make an effort. I saw lots of parents with kids to afraid to even leave their lap. So I guess I should be thankful for my independent, dancing ham. This spring he will play again. This time his best friend will be on his team. This could be the best/worse thing to happen. We will have to wait and see. Till then enjoy the pics. Also, I posted a link to view more photos of my little soccer star.

He look mischievous.

Kick it Tanner.

This is mid cartwheel.
Such a hot day that day.
Such a handsome boy...
